Beautiful hand made all wood cabinet for the same price!

A-huh, of course you can, but why would you want to? There are many reasons why big and little companies alike do not offer all wooden cabinet internals. Why? Because wood is a natural product.

Your cabinets will expand and shrink with the weather. Your hinges can be the very best on the market but if the cabinet they're drilled into is moving then they're never going to keep your doors true. Have you actually tried a 'bespoke' solid wood cabinet kitchen after it's been in for a few years? The drawers will rub and nothing fits well. It's just the reality of working within those parameters.

Even your super pricey, top of the range kitchen suppliers will not be offering you wooden cabinets because they do not want the upkeep of having to continually send fitters back to make adjustments. But... having said all that, I do rather like the wooden drawer boxes, just because they look lovely with the dove tail ends.

There are companies that offer a wooden / oak effect with their drawer systems and cabinets, honestly, to me this is offers the best solution: modern drawer runners with life time guarantees. Traditional look, modern conveniences.

The trick of a beautiful kitchen is about symmetry and balance, lots of kitchen suppliers will offer you cabinet widths 50 mm apart in sizes so there will be very little wastage. Also, sometimes you actually need a filler to finish the run just to bring the doors away from the walls by the thickness of a handle to prevent a clash. Long story short, if you want a consistently decent quality kitchen, if you want all the modern conveniences like pull out corner solutions or larders then you really do not want a hand made bespoke kitchen.
